I really like big, slouchy shirts in the fall/winter – tees, that I can easily layer or wear with leggings and boots on a cool day. Grainline’s Hemlock Tee is the perfect tee for that. Plus it’s free guys! So of coarse I jumped right on this pattern and I am pretty sure that I will be making more soon.
Pattern: Grainline’s Hemlock Tee
Materials Used: Rayon Jersey from Mood Fabrics NYC
Sizing: There is only one size. It was a little long for me so I adjusted for that.
Changes Made: I shortened the front by probably 4 inches and the back by about 3 inches because I wanted it to be longer in the back. I also shortened the sleeve to just below my elbow and tapered in the sleeve to be tighter at the elbow. Oh, and I also added a simple pocket.
The Good: Super fast to sew up (seriously 2 hrs tops on my serger and probably less). I love the look and I think it transitions well between comfy leggings days to skinny jeans and wedges. Cute on trend top and did I mention FREE.
The Bad: Really nothing. Love this pattern.
Conclusion: Great, easy pattern – another winner by Grainline. I’m on the hunt for more fabric and will be making up a few more versions as soon as I find some.

Oh this is so cute, I really want to make one! It’s a lovely classic style.
So desperately in need of a few striped basic t-shirts. Really love the off the shoulder arm seaming.
I’ve made this up several times (actually wearing one now). It’s one of my favourite patterns. Yours looks great, I see a stripey version in my future.
Really cute! I have this pattern saved to the computer and very similar fabric in my stash! I’m loving this shirt!
