SEWN : GINGHAM TODDLER TOP

I have a thing for gingham. Somehow it's country classic and still young and hip at the same time. So when I saw this top from Crewcuts I knew that I needed to replicate it for my daughter.

I dug through the patterns that I already had and decided that this one (New Look 4927) would fit the bill. I just extended the sleeves and made the button placket go all the way down the back. Oh, and of coarse cut it off as a shirt instead of making it into a dress.

I have a couple more spring tops, and maybe a dress, planned for my daughter using this pattern. Next time I will just size it down a bit (it runs large).

And yes, in case you were wondering I totally bribed her with that lollipop to pose for pics.
