Pattern: Grainline’s Scout Woven Tee
Textiles Used: navy and fuscia heart shirting from fashionfabricclub.com.
Sizing: great – according to measurements
The Good: I love the way that the shirt comes together. It’s a very modern fit of fitted at the top and more flowy at the bottom. I also love how the hemline dips a bit lower in the back than in the front.
The Bad: nothing.
Changes Made: I lowered the neckline by about an inch. I also lengthened the sleeves a bit and took in about 1/2 inch of fullness in the sides.
Things I would change next time? I would love to add a gathered sleeve that goes to the elbow. Maybe try it in a silk blend.
Conclusion: Great pattern. Perfect for my mom uniform of an easy to wear top and skinny jeans. I think this will get a lot of wear. Can’t wait to make it up a few more times.
