I am pretty bad about making decisions. Especially when it comes to fabric buying. I never want to pay for shipping, which means that I usually wait until I need a large amount of fabric. I leave 20 or so items in my cart for a week while I hem and haw and rethink until I finally narrow them down and hit the purchase button. Well, I hit the purchase button last night and now these beauties are on their way to my doorstep. All from
Fashion Fabrics Club.
As you can probably tell I am a little obsessed with rayon challis right now. I feel like it is such a wearable fabric. It’s easy to sew, inexpensive, soft, and still very flowy. I can’t wait to make the skirt from the orange fabric. And the heart fabric at the end – my personal favorite. Can’t wait to wear that top with skinnies this summer. I am making three tops for myself, which are going to be very used as I decided to join
memademay this year – my first time to ever join in. I’m pretty excited. Any tips for being successful?

I do the same thing when I fabric shop!! I hem and haw for what seems like forever. And then my favorite fabric is out of stock and I practically hyperventilate!!
You’ve reminded me that I love rayon challis! Its starting to get really hot and humid down here and I’m thinking I need to make some easy sack dresses for summer… enter rayon challis!
That heart print is such an amazing color – its going to look great as a Scout!
thanks sallie. i am glad that you like rayon challis too. sometimes i don’t know what is conscidered “nice” fabric and what isn’t, i just know what works for me and what doesn’t – what doesn’t work are still cottons which is what i feel like there is an abundance of in the stores, so i am happy to find an alternative.
holy typos – i meant stiff
